We are pleased and proud to share with you that Leo Baeck College alumnus Rabbi Jeffrey Cohen has been honoured in Australia

Rabbi Jeffrey Cohen has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia [OAM] for “service to community health, and to interfaith organisations” in the 2020 Australia Day [January 26] Honours List issued by the Governor-General of Australia.
The Order of Australia was established by the Commonwealth of Australia to replace the Imperial Awards system and is similar to the Order of Canada and the Order of the British Empire.
Rabbi Cohen is Associate Professor in the School of Medicine (Sydney Campus) at University of Notre Dame, Australia as well as Research Chaplain, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney. He has served as the CEO of the Sydney Jewish Museum and has been Senior Visiting Research Fellow in Community Health at UNSWMedicine.
Rabbi Cohen joins other Leo Baeck Rabbinic graduates Rabbi Fred Morgan who was made a Member of the Order of Australia [AM] in 2014 and Rabbi Uri Themal who was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia [OAM] in 1986.
