LBC Chair steps down

Leo Baeck College honoured outgoing Acting Chair of Governors Mimi Konigsberg at a special Shacharit Service on 19 October to thank her for her committed service to the College.

Mimi magnanimously stepped into the role of Chair on the sudden passing of Dr Stephen Herman z”l in June 2022 and has tirelessly devoted herself to steering the Board of Governors and supporting the College’s senior staff.

LBC’s new co-Chairs are Anton Fishman and Prof David Simon.

Rabbi Dr Deborah Kahn-Harris, LBC’s principal, said:

“Mimi Konigsberg has been that most special of leaders, the right person in the right role at the right time. I am personally and professionally thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Mimi and learned from her leadership and wisdom. In particular, I am grateful to Mimi for stepping up to the role of acting Chair at a time of great loss in the LBC community. I look forward to Mimi’s continued relationship with LBC as chair of our Search and Nominations Committee.”
