LBC Principal attends the induction of an LBC Alumna

Menorah Synagogue marked a significant milestone with the induction of its new minister, and LBC Alumna, Rabbi Kath Vardi.

LBC Principal, Rabbi Professor Deborah Kahn-Harris was amongst those that attended this induction service. Reflecting on the event, she said: ‘I was privileged to attend and participate in the induction of Rabbi Kath Vardi at Menorah Synagogue. The service was devised and led by two LBC alumni, Rabbis Robyn Ashworth-Steen and Josh Levy.

In attendance were several other rabbis who have served the congregation in the past, including LBC alumni Rabbis Jeffrey Newman and Michael Hilton.

For me it was a special pleasure, as I had the great honour of being the rabbi who ordained Rabbi Vardi in 2017. I am so thrilled that in Rabbi Vardi, LBC has been foundational in providing a new spiritual leader to this vibrant northern community.’
