Membership for Current LBC Students, Faculty and Staff

Current students on accredited academic programmes, faculty and staff are entitled to free membership allowing them to borrow 10 books as well as remote access to some electronic resources. Current students have unsupervised access to the Lily Montagu Reading Room and Basement Library on completion of induction and annual refresher, in accordance with the LBC Library Access Code of Conduct. Full details are available in course handbooks, Canvas and from the library.

Membership for Rabbinic Alumni, Assembly of Reform Rabbis and Conference of Liberal Rabbis and Cantors

Graduates of the Rabbinic programme, members of the Assembly of Reform Rabbis and members of the Conference of Liberal Rabbis and Cantors are entitled to free membership allowing them to borrow 5 books and remote access to some electronic resources. Rabbinic alumni and Progressive Clergy may have unsupervised access to the Reading Room on completion of registration and induction, in accordance with the LBC Library Access Code of Conduct. Membership for Jewish Studies and Jewish Education Alumni

Graduates of accredited academic programmes are entitled to free membership allowing them to borrow 5 books, remote access to some electronic resources and study space in the Reading Room. For further details see our Library for Alumni Booklet or contact the library to register.

SCONUL Membership and Access

Members of the SCONUL scheme are welcome to consult our collections. We are unable to offer study space to students not consulting our collections. Members in Bands A, B and C may register to borrow three books at a time. You will need your ID Card or Library Card from your home institution and your SCONUL confirmation email. Please contact the library to make an appointment.
