Corbett will lead a session on her ‘Gentle Protest’ methodology with a hands-on activity to put your learning into practice and see where gentle craftivism might be a useful tool for you and your communities on issues you care about.

“If we want our world to be more beautiful, kind and fair, let’s try to make our activism more beautiful, kind and fair.” Craftivist Collective Mission Statement

Many concepts in Judaism, from the words of the prophets to tikkun olam, repairing the world, inspire us to take action to build a just and compassionate society.
As we work to solve local and global problems, we often find burnout and anxiety. Corbett’s approach to craftivism can offer an empowering connection to Jewish heritage and a creative tool to do protest and community building differently.
Join us to find inspiration and information from the work of the Craftivist Collective, the Leo Baeck College Library Collections and like-minded attendees.
No craft skills or passion for crafts needed. Just an open heart and open mind. The session will include tea and coffee and the chance to see the current LBC Library Exhibition Beautiful Books.
