Larry Tabick was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1947. He is a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science, and holds a B.A. in history from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, and an M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from the University of Toronto. He received his rabbinic diploma from LBC in 1976, and retired as minister of Shir Hayim/Hampstead Reform Jewish Community at the end of 2017. He is the author of Growing into Your Soul: A Celebration of Jewish Life (Hylas, 2005), now out of print, and The Aura of Torah: A Kabbalistic-Hasidic Commentary on the Weekly Reading (JPSA, 2014). He is currently working on a book about kabbalistic meditations to accompany prayer, and an anthology of Jewish mystical sources on the festivals.

Larry teaches Kabbalah and Hasidism at the College.
