Speaking of Ruth at the Lily Montagu Reading Room

International artist Maty Grünberg’s beautiful artist’s book The Book of Ruth, explores the moving story of faith and friendship through art and poetry.

We were pleased to be joined by faculty, staff and members of the Bible Week organising committee for a unique Reading of the Book of Ruth, as we accompanied Ruth and Naomi on their journey through the images and soundscapes Grünberg and poet Linda Zisquit created.

On Thursday 14th May the Library became an art gallery with all 18 woodcuts and texts illustrating the book of Ruth on display in the Lily Montagu Reading Room.
