Welcome to the Autumn 2026 semester at Lehrhaus!
As autumn approaches and a new academic year begins, we’re delighted to welcome you to a new season of learning at Lehrhaus, your home for progressive Jewish adult learning.
Our Autumn programme is still taking shape, but we’re excited to share that it will include a rich mix of Jewish Studies, both new and continuing language courses, and Jewish Pedagogy training. As always, our aim is to offer learning opportunities that inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and help people strengthen their connection to Judaism while building meaningful connections with others across our community.
Over the summer, many of you shared your thoughts, experiences, and hopes for future learning at Lehrhaus, and your feedback has played an important role in helping us enhance our learning opportunities and the overall learning experience, ensuring they remain relevant, engaging, accessible, and inclusive for everyone.
As a result, we’re developing a refreshed programme that reflects the interests and needs of our learners, and we’re building it with the feedback we’ve received very much in mind. To ensure we get it right, we’re taking a little extra time to finalise the Autumn programme, with new courses and talks being added gradually to our website over the coming weeks.
Whether you’re continuing your learning journey with us or joining Lehrhaus for the first time, we look forward to sharing a programme that puts our community at its heart and encourages lifelong Jewish learning.
As we approach the High Holy Days, we wish you and your loved ones a meaningful and reflective time, and look forward to learning with you in the year ahead.

Lehrhaus, meaning “Learning House” in German, is the adult Jewish learning programme at Leo Baeck College. Lehrhaus follows in the footsteps of Franz Rosenzweig who established the Frankfurt Lehrhaus in 1920. The programme offers adults the opportunity to study with our world-renowned faculty and specialist teachers on a range of subjects.
Any surplus income generated from Lehrhaus activities is re-invested to enable the College to continue to develop the programme.
We are committed to making our courses as accessible as possible. Concessions may be considered where cost would otherwise prevent participation. Please contact us at Lehrhaus@lbc.ac.uk.
